INVITATION FOR REPRESENTATIONS ON PROPOSED RESTRICTION ON THE GRANTING OF RECONNAISSANCE PERMITS, TECHNICAL CO-OPERATION PERMITS, EXPLORATION RIGHTS AND PRODUCTION RIGHTS

MacRobert wishes to draw your attention to the following important notice published
Monday, 03 February 2014

The Minister of Mineral Resources has given notice of her intention to restrict the granting of all new onshore and offshore applications for reconnaissance permits, technical co-operation permits, exploration rights and production rights in terms of sections 74, 76, 79 and 83 of the Act. The restriction would be applicable to all applications received from the date of publication of this notice for a period of 2 years from such date.

Representations may be submitted in writing to the Director-General of Mineral Resources, marked for the attention of Mr. Joel Raphela, within 30 days of the notice (i.e. by 5 March 2014).
