The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, under sections 24(5)(e), 24H and 44 of the National Environmental Management Act 107 of 1998, published draft regulations pertaining to the appointment of a registration authority in terms of section 24H of the Act. The registration authority is responsible for the registration of environmental assessment practitioners for the purposes of an application for an environmental authorisation.
Members of the public are invited to submit written comments within 30 days of publication of this notice (i.e. on or before 12 January 2015).
