The Council of the Overberg District Municipality, acting in terms of section 156(2) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa 1996, read with section 13(a) of the LGMSA and section 11(1) of the NEM:AQA, has made the Air Quality Management By-law as set out in this notice.
The by-law seeks to ensure, inter alia, the management of air quality and the control of air pollution within the area of jurisdiction of the municipality and to ensure that air pollution is avoided or, where it cannot be altogether avoided, is minimised and remedied.
