Chapter 8 of the Regulations in terms of the MHSA is amended by the addition of the regulations for “Lifts” as regulation 8.11.
The Regulations for Lifts sets out the provisions pertaining to, inter alia, the requirement to have lifts installed, modified, operated and maintained under the supervision of a competent person; and the requirement to prepare a written procedure for the examination, testing, repair and maintenance of every lift.
