The MEC of the Eastern Cape Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism has, in terms of section 40(1) of the NEMBA, published the Final Bioregional Plan for the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality.
The purpose of the Bioregional Plan is to, inter alia, provide a map of critical biodiversity areas and accompanying guidelines to inform land-use planning, environmental assessment and authorisations and natural resource management.
