The MEC for the Eastern Cape Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism has, in terms of sections 23(1)(a)(i)(b), 28(1)(a)(i)(b) and 38(2)(a)(b) of the NEM:PAA, given notice of his intention to declare the following protected areas –
- Amakhala Game Reserve;
- Hopewell Private Game Reserve;
- Kariega Game Reserve;
- Kwandwe Private Game Reserve;
- Oceana Beach and Wildlife Reserve;
- Pumba Private Game Reserve;
- Shamwari Game Reserve;
- Sibuya Game Reserve;
- Buffalo Kloof Protected Environment;
- Sand River Private Nature Reserve; and
- Kromensee Nature Reserve.
