Heritage Western Cape has, in terms of section 2(1) of the Regulations on the Process for Publication of Statements of General Policy and Conservation Management Plans, 2015, called upon the public and interested organisations to comment on the Heritage Western Cape Draft Policy on the Identification and Conservation of Initiation Sites in the Western Cape. This policy aims to provide guidance on processes required for the formal identification and registration of initiation sites, and to provide mechanisms for their conservation
Written comments on the policy must be submitted to Heritage Western Cape on or before 26 October 2015.
