The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has published for public comment, the draft National Forests Amendment Bill which intends to amend the NFA.
The Bill, inter alia, intends to provide for clear definitions of natural forests and woodlands and to provide for public trusteeship of the nation's forestry resources.
Members of the public are invited to submit written comments to the Bill within 30 days of the date of the publication of this notice (i.e. on or before 13 April 2015).
