NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT ACT (107/1998): PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED IN APPLYING FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION FOR LARGE SCALE WIND AND SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC DEVELOPMENT

The Minister of Environmental Affairs has given notice, in terms of section 24(5) of the NEMA and regulation 15 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014, of the procedure to be followed in applying for an environmental authorisation for large scale wind and solar photovoltaic development activities that are to occur in geographical areas of strategic importance, namely energy development zones and associated strategic transmission corridors.

Members of the public were invited to submit written comments within 30 days of the publication of this notice.
