The Minister for Water and Environmental Affairs has, in terms of section 66(1) of the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act 10 of 2004, published a list of exempt alien species in respect of which a permit, in terms of section 65(1) of the Act, is not required. In other words, a person may undertake a restricted activity in respect of the alien species listed in this notice without a permit issued in terms of the Act.
