NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT: BIODIVERSITY ACT (10/2004): BENEFIT SHARING AGREEMENT CONCLUDED BETWEEN THE COUNCIL OF SCIENTIFIC AND INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH AND THE TRADITIONAL HEALERS COUNCIL

The Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs has given notice of the Benefit Sharing Agreement submitted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and the Traditional Healers Council, under regulation 17(3)(c) of the Bioprospecting, Access and Benefit Sharing Regulations 2008, read with chapter 6 of the NEM:BA. The Benefit Sharing Agreement involves the utilisation of various plant species to develop commercial products.

Members of the public are invited to submit written comments or objections, within 30 days after the publication of this notice (i.e. by 23 May 2014).
