The Bitou Local Municipality has enacted the Solid Waste Disposal By Law published under LAN 19065 in the Western Cape Provincial Gazette 6668 on 20 October 2009. The By-Laws, inter alia, regulates the manner in which methods and practices pertaining to waste management activities should be undertaken, including, inter alia, the dumping of waste and the management of solid waste disposal sites.
