Dear clients and subscribers

Apart from the national appeal regulations that also featured in our earlier newsflash, a reasonably un-controversial, if not quiet, month.

Otherwise noteworthy is the continued commitment of the treasury to implement carbon tax during 2016. Under the prevailing energy challenges facing South Africa (not to mention the continued declining SA economic growth prediction by the World Bank), government´s unflinching attitude in this respect has come to some criticism. This editorial in Business Day is worth a read.
