Rian obtained the LLB degree from the University of Pretoria. Rian was admitted as an attorney in January 2006, and as a conveyancer in 2008, during which time Rian cut his teeth in a boutique commercial practice dealing with private finance in all its facets. In 2014 Rian joined a midsize Johannesburg firm specialising in conveyancing, eventually joining MacRobert in winter 2018 as a senior associate conveyancer in the property department.
