The Council of the Umtshezi Municipality has, with effect from 1 December 2014, in terms of section 156 of the Constitution read with section 11 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000, enacted the Pollution Control By-laws.
The by-laws regulate, inter alia, noise pollution, dumping and smoke emissions.
