The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, in terms of regulation 2(4) read with regulations 2(3) and 2(5) of the CITES Regulations, 2010 (published under GNR 173 on 06 March 2010), published for information the CITES Appendices I and II that have been amended by the Conference of the Parties at its 17th meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa as set out in the CITES Notification to the Parties No. 2016/063 Issued on 29 November 2016: Amendments to Appendices I and II of the Convention.
The amendments to the CITES Appendices entered into force on 02 January 2017.
