The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, in terms of section 43(1) read with section 43(3) of the NEMBA, published the Biodiversity Management Plan for the White Rhinoceros in South Africa for implementation.
The main purpose of the biodiversity management plan is to ensure the long-term survival in the wild of the species and provide for monitoring and reporting on the progress with implementation of the plan.
