The City of Cape Town enacted the Wastewater and Industrial Effluent By Law which repeals the Wastewater and Industrial Effluent By Law, 2006. The By Law regulates amongst others things:
a) Duties of owners of property and prohibited acts;
b) Permission to discharge industrial effluent;
c) Cleaning of blocked private sewers; and
d) Transportation and disposal of wastewater or industrial effluent.
