The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, in terms of section 82 of the NEM:BA read with regulations 31(2) and 39(2) of the Bioprospecting, Access and Benefit Sharing Amendment Regulations, 2015, given notice of an integrated biotrade and bioprospecting permit application on traditional knowledge associated with Sclerocarya birrea (Marula, Mufula, Morula, Ukanyi).
Members of the public (individual or communities) holding traditional knowledge associated with the use of Sclerocarya birrea (Marula, Mufula, Morula, Ukanyi) are invited to submit written names and evidence within 30 days of the publication of this notice (i.e. on or before 15 December 2017).
