The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, in terms of section 29(1) read with section 57(1) of the NEM:AQA, given notice of her intention to declare certain greenhouse gases as priority air pollutants. The effect of a substance being declared as a priority air pollutant is that a person falling within specified categories is required to prepare and submit a pollution prevention plan in respect of such substances.
Members of the public were invited to submit written comments within 30 days after the publication of the notice.
