The Provincial Minister of Local Government, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning Western Cape has, in terms of section 23(1) of the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act 57 of 2003, declared a nature reserve on the Farm No. 986, situated partially in the Theewaterskloof Municipality and partially in the Overstrand Municipality, Division of Caledon.
