The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, under sections 24(5)(e), 24H and 44 of the NEMA, published draft regulations pertaining to the appointment of a registration authority in terms of section 24H of the Act. The registration authority is responsible for the registration of environmental assessment practitioners for the purposes of an application for an environmental authorisation.
Members of the public were invited to submit written comments within 30 days of publication of this notice.
