NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT: PROTECTED AREAS ACT (57/2003): ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, TOURISM AND ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS IN KWAZULU-NATAL

The CEO of Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife has, in terms of section 33(1) of the NEMPAA, given notice of his intention to request the MEC for Kwa-Zulu Natal Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs to re-declare the areas of the following Nature Reserves in terms of section 23 of the NEMPAA –

  • Entumeni Nature Reserve (Umlalazi);
  • Harold Johnson Nature Reserve (Mandeni);
  • Lake Eteza Nature Reserve (Mbonambi);
  • Nkandla Complex (comprising: Dhlabe Nature Reserve, Edodweni Nature Reserve, Mndunduzeli Nature Reserve, Mome Nature Reserve, Nkandla Nature Reserve, Sibudeni Nature Reserve and Vungwini Nature Reserve);
  • Ntinini Nature Reserve (Abaqulusi);
  • Skyline Nature Reserve (Hibiscus Coast); and
  • Solar Cliffs Nature Reserve (Umtshezi).

Members of the public are invited to submit written comments within 60 days from the date of publication of this notice (i.e. on or before 3 May 2016).
