NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT LAWS AMENDMENT BILL, 2017: EXPLANATORY SUMMARY OF THE ACT

The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, in terms of rule 241(1)(c) of the Rules of the National Assembly, published an explanatory summary of the National Environmental Management Laws Amendment Bill, 2017, which she intends to introduce at the National Assembly during April 2017.

The Amendment Bill seeks to amend –

  • The NEMA;
  • The NEM:PAA;
  • The NEM:BA;
  • The NEM:AQA;
  • The NEM:ICMA;
  • The NEM:WA; and
  • The National Environmental Management Amendment Act 62 of 2008.
