Posted 16 October 2015

The Chief Inspector of Mines has, in terms of section 49(6) of the MHSA, issued the guideline for underground rail bound equipment as set out in the schedule to this notice.

The objective of this guideline is to enable the employer of every mine to compile a code of practice for minimum standards, which, if properly implemented and complied with, would improve the health and safety of persons using or affected by rail bound transport and equipment.
