The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment has published an environmental management instrument, in terms of NEMA, namely a “Generic Environmental Management Programme (EMPr) for Gas Transmission Pipeline Infrastructure (2020)” relevant to an application for environmental authorization for gas transmission pipeline infrastructure which is located below ground, or above-ground for the purpose of connecting to above-ground infrastructure.
The generic environmental management programme fulfills the requirement of section 24N(1A) of the NEMA.
