The Provincial Minister of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning of the Western Cape requests, in terms of section 28(2) of the National Environmental Management: Waste Act 59 of 2008, that each manufacturing company within the Paint, Ink, Adhesive, Cosmetic, Pharmaceutical and Cleaning Chemicals subsectors of the Consumer Formulated Chemical Sector in the Western Cape, who generate on average more than 20 kg of hazardous waste per day, prepare and submit an Industry Waste Management Plan for approval.
The Industry Waste Management Plan, together with a copy of all the comments received, must be submitted to the Western Cape Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning within 18 months of publication of this notice (i.e. by 22 May 2015).
