The Minister of Health has in terms of section 68(1)(b) read with section 90(4)(c) of the National Health Act 61 of 2003 made regulations relating to the management of human remains. The regulations provide for, inter alia:
- Issuance of a certificate of competence for funeral undertakers' premises and mortuaries;
- Conveyance of human remains;
- Exhumations and reburials of human remains.
