The MEC of the Northern Cape Department of Environment and Nature Conservation has, in terms of section 15(2)(b) of the NEMA and section 11 of the National Environmental Management Laws Second Amendment Act 30 of 2013, publish the 3rd edition of the Northern Cape Environmental Implementation Plan (EIP) 2015 – 2020.
The EIP will regulate and co-ordinate the province's environmental policies, plans and programmes and promote a sustainable environment. The EIP further aims at integrating provincial and local government activities so as to improve consistency and minimise duplication of effort to promote co-operative governance.
