NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT: PROTECTED AREAS (57/2003): RE-DECLARATION OF THE UKHAHLAMBA DRAKENSBERG PARK WORLD HERITAGE SITE AS A NATURE RESERVE

The KwaZulu-Natal Nature Conservation Service (trading as Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife) has, in terms of section 33(1) of the NEMPAA, given notice of its intention to re-declare the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site (“UDPWHS”) as a 'nature reserve'. The purpose of such declaration is to make essential provisions of the NEMPAA applicable to the UDPWHS.

Members of the public are invited to submit written comments within 60 days of the publication of this notice (i.e. on or before 16 April 2018).
