The Thulamela Local Municipality has, in terms of section 13 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000 published the Refuse Removal, Refuse Dumps and Solid Waste Disposal By-Law. The By-Law provides for, inter alia, the regulation of the removal and disposal of waste and for procedures, methods and practices to regulate the dumping and removal of refuse.
