The Minister of Environmental Affairs has given notice of her intention to publish regulations under sections 1(b)(iv) and 69(1)(dd) and (ee) read with section 73 of the NEMWA.
The purpose of these Regulations is to prescribe the manner in which, inter alia, a person may apply for the exclusion of a waste stream or a portion of a waste stream from the definition of waste as contained in the NEMWA.
Members of the public were invited to submit written comments pertaining to the proposed regulations, which comment period closed on 15 December 2014.
