The Minister of Science and Technology published, in terms of sections 50 to 52 of the AGAA, Regulations on the Protection of the Karoo Central Astronomy Advantage Areas in terms of the Act for public comment under GNR 1166 on 23 November 2015. Due to the technical and complex nature of the regulations and the December festive period, the Minister extended the time period within which to submit comments by a further 30 day period.
In light of the above, members of the public are required to submit any written comments as to the regulations on or before 22 February 2016.
