The MEC for the Kwa-Zulu Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs has given notice, in terms of section 33(1) of the NEM:PAA, to re-declare the following Nature Reserves in terms of section 23 of the NEM:PAA –
- Gxalingenwa Nature Reserve (Harry Gwala DM);
- Kwa Yili Nature Reserve (Harry Gwala DM);
- Manguzi Nature Reserve (Umkhanyakude DM);
- Nsikeni Nature Reserve (Harry Gwala DM );
- Richards Bay Nature Reserve (Uthungulu DM); and
- Vernon Crookes Nature Reserve (Ugu DM).
A request will also be made to declare the remainder of portion 4 of the Farm Wahroonga (No. 13458) (Umgungundlovu) to be a nature reserve in terms of section 23 of the NEM:PAA.
Members of the public are invited to submit comments within 60 days of the publication of this notice in the Gazette (i.e. on or before 9 January 2017).
