The Director General of the Department of Water and Sanitation has, in terms of item 6(1) of Schedule 3 to the NWA limited the taking of water from the Sand-Vet Water Users Association water supply scheme by all users as follows –
- 92% restriction on water use for irrigation purposes from the Allemanskraal Dam;
- 85% restriction on water use for irrigation purposes from the Erfenis Dam; and
- 40% restriction on water use for domestic and industrial supply to the towns of Brandfort and Theunissen within the Masilonyana Municipality as well as Bultfontein and Hoopstad within the Tswelopele Municipality.
The limitations apply from the date of this notice until further notice.
