The Council of the Umtshezi Municipality has, with effect from 1 December 2014, in terms of section 156 of the Constitution read with section 11 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000, enacted the Stormwater Management By-laws.
The by-laws regulate, inter alia, prohibited activities such as unauthorised discharges, unauthorised connections and obstruction of the natural flow in storm water systems.
