The Gert Sibande District Municipal Council has approved, in terms of section 13(a) of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000, the Waste By-Laws. The by-law aims to, inter alia, ensure the effective and efficient delivery of waste services; provide measures to remediate contaminated land; and ensure compliance with the NEM:WA.
