Luvania Govender

Luvania obtained her LLB degree with distinction from the University of Pretoria in 2022. Luvania is a driven, socially-conscious individual who believes passionately in the law contributing meaningfully to justice and setting the context for peace, co-existence and prosperity in society – she is also a strong advocate for conflicts to be addressed through interest-based negotiation. She was placed on the Dean’s Merit List for her consistent academic achievement during the 2020 academic year. In 2023, Luvania engaged in volunteer work at her local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (‘SPCA’); she also completed a Practical Legal Training Course with the Law Society of South Africa, where she was elected Deputy Class Representative. In her spare time, Luvania loves to indulge in her hobbies which include: nature photography, dancing, writing poetry and drawing. Luvania has expressed a keen interest in Medical Law, Environmental Law and International Law, and is looking forward to bringing the ‘EISH’ factor to MacRobert Attorneys.
