Michael-John Taft

Michael-John Taft completed his LLB in 2022 and his LLM (by Coursework) in 2023 at the University of Stellenbosch. During his Master’s program, he participated in a semester exchange at the esteemed Leiden University, where he engaged in courses on Global & European Labour Law, Tax in a Digitalizing Society, Tax Debates Governance in Africa, and a Moot Court in International Law. Michael-John's strong interest in geopolitics was further cultivated during his time in Den Haag (The Hague), a major center for international law, providing him with invaluable insights into global dynamics and South Africa’s role in the international arena.

Outside of his academic and professional endeavors, Michael-John is passionate about a range of activities, including golf, running, fitness, reading, and gaming. In 2025, he began his articles at MacRobert Attorneys, where he is excited to specialize in medical and corporate law. Michael-John is dedicated to excellence and looks forward to contributing to the vibrant and collaborative culture at MacRobert Attorneys
