Neelu qualified with her LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu- Natal. She served her articles in a small law firm where she obtained experience in litigation and civil law. After being admitted as an attorney, Neelu opened her own practice. She obtained experience in criminal litigation. She also obtained experience in professional indemnity and civil litigation including family law. She subsequently commenced work at MacRobert Attorneys in July 2012. She has gained valuable experience in professional indemnity law, particularly relating to the health care professional. She has given talks to the medical professionals relating to civil litigation. She has right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa.
