Tanya Dreyer

Tanya served her articles of clerkship in 2013 at a boutique law firm situated in Pretoria, specialising in Construction and Engineering law while she completed her LLB degree part-time at the University of South Africa.  She was admitted as a legal practitioner (attorney) at the High Court of South Africa, Pretoria whereafter she practised as an Associate at one of South Africa’s leading intellectual property law firms.

With over 10 years of experience since her clerkship in the legal industry, her knowledge and legal experience has gained extensive insights to various fields of law, including but not limited to: debt collecting, administrative proceedings, general litigation, consideration of commercial agreements ie. JBCC, GCC and FIDIC and assisting with construction and engineering disputes, alternative dispute resolution proceedings ie. (Adjudication, Mediation & Arbitration) as well as intellectual property.

She now specialises in trade mark prosecution, which includes conducting trade mark clearance searches, filing of trade mark applications, attending to further prosecution of trade mark applications up until trade mark registration locally, across the Africa continent as well as internationally.  She also assists in managing clients’ trade mark portfolios and advising on their required trade mark needs and is currently a Senior Associate in the Intellectual Property – Trade Marks department.
