Thobeka completed her LLB degree at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2022. During her studies, she served as a member of ENACTUS UKZN and the UKZN Girls’ Hockey Team. She was recognised with numerous Dean's Commendations and Certificates of Merits for academic excellence during her studies and was awarded the Nadel Prize for the top Human Rights Law student at the UKZN Student Awards in 2021. She commenced her articles with MacRobert Attorneys in 2023 where she gained invaluable skills and knowledge in the areas of Medical Malpractice, Property Law, Corporate Law and Financial Recoveries. She was admitted as an Attorney in 2025 and is appointed as an Associate in the Financial Recoveries department with a primary focus on the Business Lending and Specialised Legal portfolios.
